About
Two worlds.
One stage.
The story of Obarima Amponsah — comedian, doctor, and one of Ghana's most distinctive voices.
Obarima Amponsah — known to millions as OB Amponsah— is a trained optometrist and one of Ghana's most celebrated stand-up comedians. From the University of Cape Coast to the National Theatre, he has built a career defined by courage, precision, and laughter that lingers.
His comedy draws from everyday Ghanaian life — politics, culture, faith, and the absurdities in between. Unafraid of the topics others avoid, OB delivers satire with surgical wit and the warmth of a storyteller who truly knows his audience.
When he is not commanding a microphone, he practices optometry — proof that excellence is not a single lane, but a way of showing up everywhere you belong.
